Quiet Time Is Strictly Enforced 10PM to 7AM Daily!
1 - Discount or mid-week site rates do not apply on holiday weekends.
2 - All rates include 2 adults and 2 children (under the age of 13). Each additional adult is or teen is $8.00 per day, and each child (ages 3-12) are $5.00 per day. Children under 3 are FREE (The additional Adult/Child fee may not apply to all campsites).
3 - The maximum number of adults on any site is 4. Hog pen sites & Electric pull up sites can accommodate up to 6 people but no more than 4 of those can be adults. For example a hog pen or electric site could have 4 adults and 2 children for a total of 6 people. Hog pen and electric sites can have two small two man tents or 1 large tent per site. Primitive riverfront, primitive wooded and platform sites can accommodate a maximum of 4 people only (this is with the children included). Primitive riverfront, primitive wooded and platform sites only allow for one tent per site. Please note for families with children wishing
to stay in a primitive riverfront site, primitive wooded site, or platform site, children must be 6 years of age or older to stay on any of these sites. Tents are not permitted on any of the RV sites.
4 – Check out time- Check out time for all campers is 11AM. If you have not left the campground by 11AM your card will be charged for a full additional day. If you are wishing to stay for additional time, arrangements must be made and paid in advance of your reservation date and are subject to approval based on availability for your site on your check out day.
5 - Sites will not be rented to anyone under the age of 21. ID must be presented.
Use of sanitary dump station is $10.00 per use for overnight guests and $20.00 per use for all others.
6 - Outlanders River Camp is a pet friendly facility in certain accommodations. First pet is FREE, each additional pet is $2.00 per night per pet. Only 2 pets per site are permitted. Pets are not allowed in rental houses or in the primitive camping area, including the riverfront or wooded river view campsites. Pets are permitted in the RV section, electric tent camping sites, platform tent sites and the Hog Pen campsites. Please adhere to all pet rules listed in the property rules and regulations.
7 - Campground guests are permitted to have visitors from 12PM-8PM in all of the campsites except for the primitive wooded and the primitive riverfront sites where visitors are not allowed. Visitors are not allowed on major holidays unless prior arrangements were made during the time of reservation. Visitors are not permitted in our two vacation rental homes. Visitor rates are $8 per adult or teen, $5 for 3-12 year old children and children under 3 are FREE. All visitors must be prearranged and must register at the Check-In station to pay assessed fee prior to entering the premises. Guests must be greeted by their party at the Check-In station.

1 - In order to hold a reservation, a 100% site deposit is required. Reservations may not be made more than 365 days in advance of arrival date.
2 - Specific sites may be requested based on availability however requests are NOT guaranteed.
Cancelled reservations are subject to a $10 handling fee if cancellation is at least 30 days prior to arrival. Any cancellations less than 30 days in advance will forfeit 50% of total. Cancellations occurring less than 4 days from arrival will forfeit 100% of total. All cancellation requests must contact ORC campground office at 540-743-5540. Email cancellations are NOT accepted.
There will be absolutely no refunds of camp fees once paid under any circumstances including but not limited to adverse weather, injury or early check-out.
Check In and Check Out Policy
Check in time is 2PM on day of arrival. Check out time is 11AM on day of departure. Guests staying in the primitive riverfront and river view camping area must check-in by 9pm. Late arrivals must stay in a different camping area. All campers, guests and visitors must first register and pay usage fees at the Check-In Station at time of arrival. Under no circumstances will Outlanders River Camp owners, family, employees, agents or contractors be liable for any injury or illness that may occur while using Outlanders River Camp facilities including but not limited to swimming and wading in the river. Enjoy our property, but use is at your own risk.
Property Rules and Regulations
1- All animals must be on a leash at all times outside of RV. Due to legal reasons, the following breeds are not allowed at our campground: Pit Bulls, Rottweiler, Dobermans, Mastiffs and Wolf hybrids. All pet waste must be picked up and thrown away immediately. 2 pets only per site
unless permission was granted prior to your stay by Campground Management.
2- In consideration of all guests, mandatory quiet time is from 10pm - 7am. Generators are NOT permitted.
3- Visitors of registered guests will be permitted on premises between the hours of 12pm-8pm. All guests must pay usage fees and register at the Check-In Station and must be greeted by their party. Visitor cars must be parked in the designated auxiliary parking areas with a car tag visible at all times. Visitors can not bring in trailers, campers or ATV’s.• Visitors must obey all ORC rules and regulations. Combined visitors and campers must not exceed the allowed number of campers on a site. Visitors are not allowed on major holidays unless prior arrangements were made during the time of reservation. Campers staying in the primitive riverfront or primitive wooded sites are not permitted to have visitors.
4- No firearms, weapons, fireworks or metal detectors are allowed on the campground.
5- Virginia drug and alcohol regulations must be obeyed. All alcohol must be kept in coolies and covered containers. Public intoxication of guests or visitors is not permitted under any circumstances. Removal from the premises will be immediate with no refund.
6- Federal law allows public use of the Shenandoah River however, trespassing on neighboring properties is strictly forbidden. A fishing license is required for fishing on the Shenandoah River.
7- Use of uninsured or unlicensed motor vehicles at ORC is not allowed. This includes but is not limited to golf carts, mini bikes, ATV’s, gas scooters, electric scooters or mopeds. Exceptions can be made with prior approval in event of medical reasons.
8- All fire rings and charcoal grills in use must be attended at all times. Open air fires will not be allowed when fire risk is high. All burning materials must be kept inside the container. Burning of trash in your fire ring is strictly prohibited. Fires need to be put out before check out.
9- Campers and guests are not allowed to bring their own firewood. All firewood must be purchased at the Check-In Station. Do not pick up wood, cut or laying on the ground to use as firewood.
10- Do not tie anything to trees including hammocks.
11- Camp vehicle tag must be displayed at all times while a guest at ORC.
12- Feeding of wildlife is prohibited. Campers must keep perishables in containers and put trash in the trash dumpster.
13- Please do not disturb natural environment including damaging trees, shrubs, vegetation or animal habitat. No cutting of trees, limbs or vegetation on property. If found in violation of cutting of trees, limbs or vegetation, a $75.00 fine will be imposed. Please do not remove downed limbs from trails or hilled areas. These are to help to maintain land erosion. This is a wild life refuge and all wildlife must be respected and preserved
14- Guests must keep vehicles on gravel areas. Only 2 vehicles per site. All additional cars, boats and trailers are to be parked in designated auxiliary parking areas. Please check with our staff for locations.
15- Please accompany your children to bathrooms, showers, river, and play areas. Do not leave minor children unattended. Do not allow your children to chase or throw rocks at guests, pets or wildlife.
16-Do not move picnic tables or fire rings. Do not leave trash in your fire rings.
17- Violation of any rules by campers or guests will result in entire party’s removal from property with forfeit of all site fees.
18- Outlanders River Camp is not responsible for any accidents that may occur while staying or visiting the campground. The employees, contractors, owners, successors or agents will be held harmless.
